Cremation Urns with Doves

Whenever you talk about Doves and what they represent or what the symbol means, Doves, usually white in color, are used in many settings as symbols of love, peace or as messengers. Doves are used as symbolism in Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Paganism, and of both military and pacifist groups.

If we follow that symbolism, it is clear that Doves are also related to death, because they mean love, peace or they are messengers. Understanding that, we at Urns.com carry and have carried for many years Cremation Urns with Doves.

We have them in different shapes, different colors and different sizes, and people always look for them and they are very good sellers because they have a special meaning to people mourning and with the desire to have their loved one resting in peace.

We also carry cremation jewelry in the shape of a dove in different styles and sizes, and in different metals as well.

So, why Cremation Urns with Doves? There is no easy or simple answer, it is just that Doves inspire peace basically and people believe and think that when a person dies it deserves to be in peace or on the other hand it is already resting in peace.

And as we find in Wikipedia, “The symbolism of the dove in Christianity is first found in the Old Testament Book of Genesis in the story of Noah's Ark, “And the dove came in to him at eventide; and, lo, in her mouth an olive-leaf plucked off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.” Genesis 8:11 And, also, in the New Testament Gospels of Matthew and Luke, both passages describe after the baptism of Jesus, respectively, as follows, “And Jesus when he was baptized, went up straightway from the water: and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon him.” Matthew 3:16 and, “And the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” Luke 3:22 The Holy Spirit descending on Jesus and appearing in the bodily form of a dove is mentioned in the other two Gospels as well (see Mark 1:10 and John 1:32).”

And therefore, specially to the Christian world, Doves are unique and meaningful in many ways, and probably the most powerful is the event where the Holy Spirit descended when Jesus was baptized. That event to the Christian world is very powerful and that could be one of the reasons why we find Doves on many cremation urns. The Holly Spirit is represented by a white Dove.

We carry these Dove Cremation Urns on our store and we have some of them listed in our bestseller gallery, because they are popular and because they are really nice and as usual on our store, prices are very affordable.
