The letters are engraved into a black background, they appear clear and striking. First line of engraving Larger font max. 20 characters. Second line of engraving Smaller Font max. 33 characters. The flat medallion has an adhesive back and can be mounted on any flat surface. The chain medallion fits well over any 6 or 7" tall cylindrical/vase style urn.
